Renaming a file changes its modification time, which Plex uses to decide when to re-analyze a video for things like intro/credit markers. After renaming a large batch of files, Plex may re-scan and re-analyze them, which can spike your Plex server's CPU usage for a while. This is normal and temporary; performance should return to normal once Plex finishes catching up, and is usually tolerable even for large libraries.
