I deleted the elementary-icons folder. Went back to preferences/theme/icons and the choices were all back.

in the new ubuntu 16.04, touchegg works with 3 finger gestures, if I put synclient disable ClickFinger3 & TapButton3, however, in linux mint it’s not recognizing it..! any plans to fix this?

the list of available wlans contains my own wlan and another one of the same name with “auto” in front that has a black block where the connection strenght should appear.
connected to vpn (cisco to be exact), it doesn’t display network icon with lock when connected in the system tray compared to previous version.
I can disable mobile broadband using the switch in network preferences but it does have any effect. Next time I open up network preferences it is enabled again. I guess this could be a upstream problem though.

after updates nm-applet shows ethernet icon instead of wifi for connections?
nm connecting via WPA doesn't connect (no password passed).. using network connections to save the password -> works. Tested with MATE edition on a Lenovo Yoga 500.
Another NetworkManager bug. Just tried to run the mint 18 MATE live on an old pc in my home and it wouldn’t recognize my Wi-Fi at all. It just looked as if I didn’t have Wi-Fi. Killing and restarting nm-applet didn’t help in this case, so the bug must be deeper. Sadly, this is a bug I’ve read about in Ubuntu MATE 16.04 so again, this might be a bug from upstream. For comparison, I had no problem of this sort when running mint cinnamon 18 live on this pc, and it is running mint Xfce (first 17.2, upgraded to 17.3) for a while and never had this problem.

Check your own MATE screenshot. The new MintMenu theme is supposed to have rounded corners, but the transparency is broken, leaving hideous white triangles where there ought to be transparency. This issue never came up in Mint 17.3 because the MintMenu was squared off. Mint 18 needs to either give up the idea of rounded corners on the Main menu slab, or fix the intended transparency.

When using Cinnamon bar at top, and secondary monitor with higher height than the main display, some apps like KDE Apps (Krita, Kdenlive) or Wine Based Apps (teamviewer) will display menus from toolbar in the wrong place. Being more specific: The menus will be displayed in the position that they should be displayed at main monitor, however in this case the window is maximized in the secondary monitor.
