mintmenu: The new MintMenu theme is supposed to have rounded corners, but the transparency is broken, leaving hideous white triangles where there ought to be transparency.
mintmenu: select mint-logo.svg as icon to see what happens :)
Xfce Edition
------------
in Compiz, window borders are Adwaita. Should be Mint-X.
Nautilus overwrites the desktop with its own settings, removing icons and background and the right click context menu.
qt4 apps look wrong (tested with backintime-qt4), you can change it by installing qtconfig-qt4
Qt apps Look and feel has become broken again (clementine e. g.). The way to fix it – add env variable DESKTOP_SESSION=gnome.
clock applet isn't able to save configuration, switch to datetime.

- Banshee player is unusable (Can’t resize panel elements, window starts to drag). Maybe replace with Clementine or any gtk player.
- Qt apps Look and feel has become broken again (clementine e. g.). The way to fix it – add env variable DESKTOP_SESSION=gnome .
- Xfce4-task-manager toolbar style “Small” looks much better (maybe change default conf)
- changing clock format makes clock applet disappear (alternative clock available in xfce4-goodies)
- libindicator-plugin.so uses 10/20% CPU at idle. Removing the applet from the panel --> CPU usage goes down.
- If you select Compiz as window manager you only get the default (Adwaita) ugly window border, not the active theme gtk border as it should be (for example if the default Mint-X is used as main theme you should also get the window border associated with this theme). You always end up with the Adwaita border regardless of what theme that is selected. This makes windows look weird if Compiz is used as window manager.

- qt4 apps look wrong (tested with backintime-qt4), you can change it by installing qtconfig-qt4

mint-x-icons: in MATE (with a high panel), network status icons have a dark background in 32px and bigger. they would look much better in the panel with a transparent bg like other icons.

xfce: Mint-Y theme Desktop Icons-text is not centered (Mint-X theme is OK).
xfce: if I set it in Power Manager to just turn off screen or lock screen, when I open it back it works once BUT if I then close and open it again – the screen never comes back on and sometimes it seems whole system freezes( and other times it seems that just the screen doesn’t lit up, as it reacts to power button pressed).
xfce: ALWAYS happens, regardless what settings I have on closing the lid: after opening the lid back the system opens Display preferences.
